Discover the SlatePlate – crafted by and for solar experts. Launched in 2017, the SlatePlate was engineered to simplify the way installers mount solar panels to slate without compromising the integrity of the roof. With the rise in demand of rooftop solar panels, the challenge of installing solar on a slate roof without damaging the structure is increasing.
Made Specifically For Slate Roofs
The SlatePlate was the first product in the industry to combine two key features in conjunction with one another: no slate removal and no load transferred to the slate. Other products require removing slate for each mount or compressing the mount directly onto the slate without any load protection, which can lead to breakages and leaks.
Innovative Design For Solar Installations
Our patented Spacer technology serves two important functions. By acting as a barrier between the slate and the structural members, the Spacer prevents the load from compressing onto the roofing material, thereby transferring 100% of the load onto the structural members. It also creates a barrier of protection between the lag and the slate, preventing fracturing of the slate over time. And by creating a water-tight seal, we ensure no roof leaks during or after the solar installation.
